On the 24th September we are celebrating National Fitness Day! To get us ready and prepared we would like you to create some posters that we can have around school to inform children, staff and parents about the importance of fitness!
Thank You Dayย is a national initiative in the UK dedicated to expressing gratitude to individuals and groups who make a positive impact in our communities. Originally launched in 2021 to acknowledge the efforts of NHS staff and other key workers during the COVID-19 pandemic, the day has since evolved into a broader celebration of appreciation and community spirit.
We would like to get involved by saying a big thank you to different people within our local community.
Create a postcard, thank you card or poster to someone in our community that you want to say THANK YOU to.
Make a list in Crew of all the people you want to say thank you to and bring in your completed cards next Monday! We would love to deliver some of the cards before the end of Summer Term!
I have loved seeing the children being so invested in their learning over the last few weeks, and I am blown away by the home learning they are doing as a result of this …. well done boys and girls – keep up the great work!!
Familiarise yourself with the information before our visitor comes in to visit – Can you share what you’ve learnt in Crew and create a poster to display on your crew board.
Year 3 are working hard on their current Maths topic – telling the time, but many of us are finding it very tricky … especially telling the time to 5minutes and to the minute using analogue clocks. Please could we urge everyone to spend some time at home looking at analogue clocks and watches, discussing time and practising reading different times throughout the day as this will really help us when we are looking at digital times and then problem solving with time.
