See below the attached Extended study menu. Please bring in any work from this menu on Mondays and we will share with our Crews. We look forward to seeing what the children get up to!
Please find below the parent overview for our EYFS Summer expedition ‘ Once upon a time’ . The children will be exploring and answering the question ‘Who is hiding in the pages of the book?’ We look forward to our learning journey this term.
World Art Day is a day dedicated to creating and celebrating all types of artwork.
By celebrating World Art Day, it is hoped that this will encourage creativity, teach people about different artists and share a love for art all over the world.
It is celebrated each year, on 15th April, which is believed to be the birthday of the world famous artist, Leonardo da Vinci.
Cubism is an art movement that shows people or objects from lots of angles at the same time. It often makes the artwork look broken up or like it is made from cubes.
Pablo Picasso and the artist George Braque invented Cubism as a new form of art.
Have a go at creating your own cubist artwork with an object from your home by drawing it from many angles or print and colour the cubist guitar below.
Bring your completed artwork to share in crew next week!
This week in Phonics we have been covering the following sound. The sounds will be sent out for the children to be practising to recognise the digraph, say the digraph and then write the grapheme.
The children are really starting to learn and retain those sounds but will need support to blend those sounds together. Have a go at the green words and the more they hear those sounds being blended the easier it will become. There is a sentence to read on the bottom of the sheet also. Reading this and also reading the reading books that the children now have will all help to increase and improve the children’s fluency in their reading.

The partial lunar eclipse in the UK will be visible – weather permitting – during the early hours of 14 March from 3:57 GMT before peaking at 6:19. The best chance of seeing it is by having a clear view of the western horizon.
We would love to see any pictures you manage to capture!
Have a go at the experiment linking to solid, liquids and gases or create a poster showing your knowledge. Can you organise items based on whether they are a solid, liquid or gas?
Make a list of all the solids, liquids and gases that you see within the day. Share your responses in crew.
Can you demonstrate changing state with something you have at home?
E.g. You could freeze water and melt ice cubes, melt chocolate, boil water etc. Take photographs and send to your class teacher so we can celebrate your science learning!
Keep an eye out on the blog for tomorrows extended study challenge.
