What an amazing bunch of little superstars we have in class 6! We began the day by going on a treasure hunt to work out which norms we want to see in our new class and supported each other by helping with phonics to read the statements. We gathered some items of waste from our playground, sorted them according to their materials and discovered that ALL of the materials we found can be recycled in some way. We had a visit from our Y6 learning coaches who helped us to create craft using ‘trash’. and we ended the day by exploring the different areas of our new classroom and used our skills to build castles, colour pictures, create patterns, build towers and engage in imaginative play. I was particularly impressed by the team work shown by Albie, Niamh, Ellie, Regan and Blossom who worked together to finish our dinosaur jigsaw puzzle in record time and recieved a postcard for their efforts.
See you all tomorrow for another exciting day!
(P.S. If you have a spare tin of food or some dry goods such as pasta or rice in your cupboard, please send it into school tomorrow to help our Y5 children as they support our local food bank. Thank you!)

Setting a great example in Y1 this week! You are amazing stewards of our community!
