Year 1: Phonics Drop In

Thank you to the families that joined us for our Phonics Drop In after school on Thursday. It was really lovely to meet you all. We will run these events throughout the year but in the meantime if you have any questions or concerns we are always happy to help! I was asked if there are nay apps to support phonics learning. The best way you can support phonics learning at home is by practising phonics homework, red words and reading books. This can be done in fun ways using flashcards, letter/word/sound hunts around the home etc. Please see the photographs below for some ideas. There are a couple of websites that have games that support recognition of phonics sounds, word reading and sentence reading, som of the games are free to access. I have also listed these below. We hope you can join us at our next phonics event!
