Wow – what a fantastic effort by Class 15 for World Book Day! Costumes and props are fantastic and our first entries for the wooden spoon competition are amazing … well done everyone! The children have enjoyed different reading-themed activities throughout the day, including designing their own book covers and favourite book reviews.
Don’t forget – there is still time to decorate your wooden spoon as a book character and enter the competition for the deadline next week. Why not plan it into your long weekend and make use of the days that school is closed for teacher training days?
As part of World Book Day, we are also looking to revamp our reading area and the children have been so excited to help design this with a space theme … watch this space! (Literally!)
