They looked fabulous and tasted so yummy!
What a fabulous start to Christmas week 2! We have been having so much fun reading stories such as The Snowman, Father Christmas Needs a Wee and Jesus’ Christmas Party. We have played a nativity themes KIMs game which the children have loved. We have been making Christmas party hats for our Christmas lunch tomorrow, dressing up, Christmas wrapping, making reindeer soup with carrots and sprouts, crafting and making big movements with ribbons in the winter wind. WOW! What will the rest of the week bring we wonder…
The children have had so much fun this morning creating process art. We didn’t have an end goal in sight but enjoyed the process of making and creating! What beautiful patterns and textures the children have created collaboratively.
A huge thank you to all those who came to support our youngest children in school for their production of ‘The wriggly Nativity!’ We are so proud of every single child for the courage they demonstrated, the beautiful singing, dancing and of course the awesome drum playing! They are all shining stars!
On Wednesday, Nursery will be having a Christmas party day. Children are invited to wear party clothes or Christmas jumpers. We also would appreciate any food donations for us to have a festive time together. Please sign up at the Nursery entrance for your choice of party food.
Many thanks,
Mrs Hay & Mrs Burton
The children have enjoyed mark making outside in artificial snow and shaving foam, developed hand eye coordination by feeding the reindeer, created some beautiful christmas prints using cooking cutters and role played drinking hot chocolates with marshmallows made with cocoa at our hot chocolate station.
Tomorrow we have a Green Top Express ready for some Polar Express themed play. It’s certain to say we are in the full swing of festive fun and we are so excited for our Wriggly Nativity play tomorrow.
This weeks Christmas story is ‘Mr Bear’s Christmas. The children have enjoyed watching the story, painting their own Mr Bear using forks to create texture. We also talked about what we would see, hear and smell at a Christmas party. The children all thought of some wonderful ideas and sounds like some of you are going to have a very merry time this Christmas!
If you would like to watch Mr Bear’s Christmas at home here is the link for you to enjoy this very sweet Christmas tale.

The children have loved making their own Reindeer food this afternoon with Miss Myers. The children carefully mixed their oats, glitter and corn then decorated their packet to look like a reindeer. We hope the children love sprinkling this in their garden on Christmas Eve.
