Well done Pandora. You blew me away with you Can do Colin attitude during our first year 2 arithmetic test. I am so so proud of you 🙂
On Friday I was blown away by the amazing maths that everyone did in Crew Jackson. The children showed an outstanding understanding of place value by representing numbers in a variety of different ways. We used pictures, part-whole models, base 10 equipment and place value counters and grids to work collaboratively. They then went on to prove their knowledge independently on their exit tickets. I was so impressed that I had to share the photos of their learning with you.
Well done everyone. You are all marvellous mathematicians!
It was an easy choice this week as April has blown our socks off with her amazing learning attitude. We have been so impressed with her use of phonics to help her with her reading and writing. What an amazing role model to the rest of Crew Jackson.
Well done April. We are so proud of you :)))
I love the little planes the children made in Class 9 this afternoon as part of our hook learning. They all demonstrated Stickability Stan attitudes especially when it got very fiddly getting everything to stay stuck together!
A massive well done from Mrs Miller today for Lilly and the hard work she put into her maths learning and to Erin for the superb writing she did linked to class text ‘journey’
Well done girls. You always make us super proud in Class 9!
Check out some of the awesome art and crafts we have completed so far this week to immerse us in our new expedition. The children have shown such creativity, independence and most importantly a crew approach, where they have supported each other to produce their best work.
Jack! Well done for working so hard, not just today but all week. I am super proud of your learning attitude. Keep it up! 🙂
Today we began to explore the story ‘journey’ which is story told only through pictures. . The children loved watching the images as a video to music on the screen and made some excellent inferences based on what they saw. The children enjoyed designing vehicles to overcome some of the obstacles that the little girl faced during her journey.
Well done everyone. Your creativity and enthusiasm was fantastic to see today! 🙂
Well done Flyn and Edward on your first day back in Year 2. You have both been fabulous and have impressed me with your attitude to learning and amazing reading. Â Keep up the hard work! 😀
What a fabulous Friday we had in Crew Jackson. We became authors for the morning, exploring day and night and what the sun and moon see. The children thought carefully about the adjectives they could use and went on to write their own little books. Ia m super proud of each and every one of them as they were all Have ago Henry’s.
Big shout out to Lucas who was our learning legend for his book about the moon. He even went on to make his own book about Pokemon during Funky Friday Time.
Congratulations to Jacob who was our ‘Out of this World’ winner this week. What an amazing start to Year 2 he has made with an outstanding attitude to learning.
