At Green Top, we recognise the direct correlation between regular attendance and academic achievement. The more you are at school, the more you achieve. Therefore, it is vitally important that all our pupils attend our school as much as physically possible, and that all stakeholders of our school recognises that every day at school matters.

As our curriculum is delivered through thematic lessons and learning explorations that involve inter connected learning experiences, it is even more vital that our pupils attend school every day.

As such, we do not authorise pupils to take holidays during our school term times. Authorisation is only given for exceptional circumstances, which is determined by the Headteacher, and application should be made well before the absence takes place.
