This week and last, we have started teaching our first set of phonics sounds. s, a, t, p. The children have loved exploring the new sounds and have tried really hard at writing the grapheme. Today, following our phonics lesson teaching the letter ‘t’ the children wrote the letter then traced it with glue and covered in in oats and glitter linked to our expedition story ‘Goldilocks and the three bears’.
I wonder if your child can spot some objects at home which begin with s, a, t, p?
Can they have a go at writing it?
