This week we have started our new phonics groups based on our latest phonics assessments. Your child will have been placed in a group that best matches their individual needs.
On Friday your child will bring home their latest phonics report which states which group your child has been placed in.
In Mrs Clay’s group the children have been remembering the /ee/ sound. Mrs Clay has been really impressed with the children’s effort and confidence in phonics over the past few weeks!

In Miss Rodgers group we are revising the sounds and red words we have already learned. We have been reading our consolidation book. We are focussing on improving our reading fluency.

In Miss Schön’s group this week we are working on confidence building and filling the gaps in our learning. We have been practising sounds/words we are finding tricky. It has been so lovely to see that already children are noticing their own personal progress! We will also be working on our reading fluency skills so that we can become confident readers.

In Mrs Leggott’s group we have moved on to the next sound in our learning. We are also learning how to answer reading comprehension questions.
