Currently children are expected to be working within Phase 3 but some children may feel more confident with the Phase 2 games until they know some of the Phase 3 sounds. More confident children may want to access some of the Phase 4 games which use the same sounds but with more challenging words.
By the end of Reception children are expected to be working within Phase 4.
