We had a fantastic time today in our Great Fire of London workshops. Some of us even dressed the part! We met Thomas Farriner – the baker who owned the shop where the fire was thought to have started, and also Samuel Peyps, who buried his famous diaries containing a recount of the event in his garden to protect them from the flames. We sang London’s Burning with actions, used tableaux to illustrate certain points of the story and even acted out the events to a poem.
