Last week, we were looking at column method of addition. A few of our children grasped this brilliantly and moved onto exchanging very quickly. Lucky for me! As the lesson after I got them set up teaching a group each. Between them, they coached the rest of the class through the process of why we exchange and how it works using column method. This really supported their own reasoning skills in having to talk through the method and question other learners as well as be questioned too! Fantastic job and a big well done to all.
