This week Annabel visited school and shared this wonderful achievement!
Annabel has been awarded ‘Outstanding female of the year’ in her martial arts class during the lockdown.
Well done we are very proud of you Annabel!
Today, Class 8 have been learning all about the key elements of music – timbre, dynamics and pitch. We enjoyed listening to music and considering how changes in these different elements altered the impact of some of our favourite songs. We used our arms like real composers to help us think about the changes as we heard them.
Here is a sneak peek of our Masked Reader!
Coming 4th March …
Today in Class 8, we have enjoyed s gallery show and tell of our castle models. The children enjoyed showing their models, complete with working drawbridges, and then offering critique and praise to one another. A great way to end our first week back to school after half-term!
This morning the children in year 1 have worked extremely hard on their number bonds to 20. Using equipment if needed to solve problems.
well done everyone
Mrs Burton, Miss Hilton and Miss O’Neill
Throughout March, as a school we are planning to walk from John o Groats to Lands end and back! That’s 1,748 miles!
If my calculations are correct as a school we only need to do 110,505 steps a day! Easy!
So charge up your fit bits and smart watches and get your walking shoes ready!
At the end of the week complete the google form that I have attached to this blog and we will record your steps. There will be weekly prizes in school for most steps in a week and all school staff will be getting involved too.
Good luck and I hope you enjoy the challenge 🙂

Year 1 have had a great afternoon doing their box model castles. We have cut out drawbridges, arrow slits and crenellations around the top.
We need to add string to our drawbridges to make them work and paint them so keep checking our blog to find out how they look.
Thank you
Mrs Burton, Miss O’Neill and Miss Hilton
Today, we have enjoyed getting crafty as part of our expedition be experience … Constructing the castles we designed before half-term:
