Class 4 and class 5 enjoyed a fantastic day visiting Lincoln Castle linked to our theme ‘Whats secrets do the castle walls tell us?’. The children enjoyed knight training which included trying on armour, archery, jousting and dressing the knight ready for battle. They then enjoyed taking part in a Medieval banquet where they took on the roles of King, Queen, Lord, Lady, servants, dancers and jesters, as well as sampling cheese and biscuits, gingerbread men and fruit.
After a picnic in the sunshine, the children had the opportunity to walk the castle walls and take in the fabulous views of Lincoln, the castle prison and the castle grounds.
