Another great match this evening with amazing effort from both teams! Green top played against another very talented side and unfortunately we didn’t get the win but all the girls played their hearts out should be so proud of themselves! I am unbelievably proud.
Keep up the hard work girls ready for the next match next half term!
Congratulations to Year 6. The children and staff have been great this week. Every SATs paper the children have undertaken, has been completed so well. The children have demonstrated every Learning Alien we have at Green Top and have been very well supported by our great staff. Enjoy the rest of the week now and your trip to the Ice Cream parlour.
Good luck to all our Year 6 children today as they begin their SATs. Mrs Overson and the Y6 team have prepared you well. Have confidence in yourself, do your best and I am sure you will all do well.
I had the pleasure of looking through Lewis and Danielle’s maths books today. They showed me how they had been Stick-ability Stan’s, Connecting Connie’s, Can-do Colin’s and many of the other learning aliens over the past few weeks. They are continuing to work hard on the things that sometimes catch them out!
Well done guys! Keep it up!
A huge well done to all the girls who played in the match tonight. We didn’t get a win but every single player played their hearts out and I couldn’t be more proud! The girls all showed amazing team work and determination against a very talented side. The girls are so excited for their next match in two weeks time! A huge thank you to all who came and supported: parents, staff, pupils and to Mr Oldridge for being our referee!
Year 6 had a great day today when a Viking visited Green Top.
They learnt about Viking raids, trades, battles, weapons, what they wore and what they ate.
It was a fun day and they learnt lots of new facts.
Class 15 enjoyed Aspirations Week before Easter. We looked at what makes us unique and how everyone is different. We also talked to business owners about how they had overcome barriers to achieve what they’d achieved.
Class 17 and I have had great fun immersing our classroom with everything Viking! Children made masks, swords and shields whilst others developed our Viking longboat with excellent detailing. I am very impressed with their efforts- it looks spectacular!
On Thursday 22nd March, we held our annual Green Top’s Got Talent event. There were 30 acts who took part in the auditions, performances and final show. We had an absolute treat of a show with various different acts including dancers, singers, boxing to music and gymnastics.
The winners were announced on the night, with Gwenyth, Megan and Emily receiving runners up awards and Tyler taking first place with his Ed Sheeran rendition.
We were overwhelmed by the confidence and attitude of everyone of our competitors and can’t wait to see what next year holds!
Thanks as always go to our judges and parents and carers for providing a great audience for the performers.
Well done guys!
