Thank you to all the parents, carers and children who attended our movie night. We had great fun sharing our films and our learning over this theme. We are very proud of the children’s confidence and ability in front of the camera as we all know how hard it can be! We have uploaded the clips for you to enjoy again!
Last Thursday, Year 5 went to Hatfield Water Park and participated in various water activities including: rafting, canoeing and jetty jumping! It was a fantastic experience which we all loved!
The children impressed everyone with their excellent team work, communication and determination. The resilience and team work throughout the canoe treasure hunt was especially impressive and I’m sure lots of the children had aching arms the next day!
The children were extremely brave throughout the day as a lot of the children (me included) were nervous about the deep water but this did not stop them from performing some impressive jetty jumps!
It truly was a fantastic start to the year and the trip will have no doubt created memories that will last a life time.
Whist the rest of the school are taking part in transition week, the remaining year 6 children have created this amazing video based on Roald Dahl’s Revolting Rhymes. The children created the artwork and performed the poetry brilliantly.
I have really enjoyed working with you all! Thank you Year 6!
The school held its first house team football tournament in the beautiful July rain. Children from different classes came together to play for their house in a series of matches.
The games were played with motivation, skill and a high level of team work. I’d like to say on the behalf of all staff who were present how proud we are of our children and the way conducted themselves throughout the afternoon.
It will certainly become an annual date in the diary!
Well done to the Comets house on winning the tournament; You will be presented your medals and trophy on the last day of term.
This afternoon the Year 5 and 6 children took part in their own official Race for life. Over 80 children completed the full 5K course with many others completing more than they had planned!
There was some excellent running indeed with the first 5 finishers all finishing under 25 minutes!
To make the event an even better success let’s try and raise as much money as we can to help beat cancer. Please could all sponsor money (where possible) be sent using the link below otherwise it can be brought it to school.
Thanks again to everyone involved in supporting this fabulous event!
