The children have been busy making their new classroom
environment. We made magical candles, golden snitches, flying keys and even a fire place full of letters addressed to Harry. The children developed the learning areas themselves; creating a range of different seating levels.
The children have had an amazing day at Harry Potter Studios. They have flown on broomsticks, been on the knight bus and took a trip on the Hogwarts Express. The children have all been amazing! We are due back at school at 7pm this evening.
Year 5/6 took part in a Harry Potter inspired transfiguration lesson today where they looked at changing state. The children melted chocolate and made toast and had to decide whether the changes were reversible or irreversible!
Year 6 celebrated their learning exploration by delivering a lecture on Space. The lecture was based on the current theme ‘What Lights up our World’ and focused on their learning of space, particularly the moon, night and day, and the sun.
The children worked collaboratively and shared their knowledge with their parents and VIPs. It was an incredible performance and the children’s presentation skills were phenomenal. It truly was a fantastic celebration of the learning that has taken place over the last term.
Thank you to all that came and supported the children.
