We really enjoyed our Christmas Dinner today. Thanks to Natalie and her team for making it so special.
All year long our children have been working alongside Roots of Empathy Instructors, class teachers and babies to develop their own empathy skills. Today a group of 8 children, representing the school, visited the Keep Moat Stadium to celebrate a great year.
Wow! What a weekend! Oliver, Matty, Sophie and Myles all came into school very excited and proud with their trophies and medals.
Matty was awarded ‘player of the year’ for Thornensians rugby team.
Oliver was awarded his medals for being a passionate player and a great team captain for Thornensians rugby team.
Myles was awarded his medals for his team beating Wheatley Wanderers on Saturday in a football tournament.
On Sunday, Sophie played in an under 11’s football match and came 2nd place in a Tournament in Doncaster.
Well done to you all! Mrs Robertson and I are very proud of you!
A big thank you to all the parent’s, carers, family and friends who came to the Year 3 and 4 Pop-Up Chocolate Shop at school today. It was wonderful to have so much support – I hope you had the opportunity to taste your purchases!
The children have worked so hard over the last few months to design and create all aspects of the products – from the packaging production to the chocolate creation!
Well done to Kane and Megan for writing and presenting such a great introduction to the event – you both spoke with confidence and clarity in front of so many people!
Finally, a big thank you to all the staff, who have supported the children in their chocolate exploits over the last few weeks – Green Top really has resembled Willy Wonka’s factory at times – the children could not have done it without your assistance!
On Tuesday, Class 9 had a celebration and goodbye end of year party for Roots of Empathy. baby Daniel came to visit and we sang songs, played, ate party food and drank juice. We all had lots of fun and had a wonderful time reflecting on everything we had learnt over the year.
