Reminder Wednesday is ‘Dress up as a Pirate day’ and family learning,
Family learning starts at 1.30pm – come along for our ‘Pirate Treasure Hunt’ around the school grounds. We will be searching for clues to complete the puzzle. Completed puzzles will be rewarded with treasure.
Please don’t spend lots of money on costumes – cut up some old trousers or an old skirt, wear red, black and white or stripy clothes.
Well done to our latest gold award winners in our reading challenge. You have all read 100 books and won a book. Your names will now go in the grand prize draw at the end of the year!
Can you read the words and decide whether they need to be put in the treasure chest (real words) or dumped in the dustbin (alien words)?
For Funky Friday time, the children decided they wanted ice lollies to ‘cool off’ from the hot weather we have been having.
Rosie has done a fantastic wanted poster as part of her home learning. If anybody has seen this pirate, Rosie is offering a reward.
Today in class 4 we looked at our writing and decided how we could improve it. We came up with a checklist of things to remember:
- finger spaces
- full stops
- capital letters
- lots of interesting words!
Here are just a few examples of the work we produced using our checklist! Miss Hughes and Mrs Lake were blown away with how hard every child has been trying this week! Keep it up class 4!
What an awesome day we had yesterday at the Yorkshire Wildlife Park!
